I will try to get more in depth on this accident and this specific problem in later postings, but for now, please review the excellent coverage from KSBY TV HERE.
It didn't have to be this way.

Senseless accidents -- in this case, a foreseeable accident that could have been prevented -- are particularly difficult when children are involved. For a group of six children waiting in a line of second graders to go into their lunchroom, a normal day in second grade became anything but normal. Pedal error accidents when a senior driver fails to stop in a marked ADA parking space because they hit the gas instead of the brake when pulling in. Foreseeable, since they happen every single day. Predictable, since there is so much documentary and statistical evidence that they occur over and over with the same causes and same results. And most senselessly, almost always completely preventable for a few hundreds or a few thousands of dollars.
I will try to get more in depth on this accident and this specific problem in later postings, but for now, please review the excellent coverage from KSBY TV HERE. It didn't have to be this way.
