The restaurant industry is a frequent victim of storefront crashes. We estimate that as many as 12 times per day, a vehicle crashes into a restaurant, coffee/donut store, or dining area in the United States. Accident rates and injury rates for workers and customers in such accidents are difficult to quantify, but a quick run through of inquiries received from law firms in the last 12 months show that there are dozens of lawsuits filed or pending against national and regional restaurants and stores as a result of vehicle-into-building crashes.
